‘Temporal Machine’ painted-construction, new work just completed..

Some thoughts on the new work/departure..‘Temporal Machine’ is a richly layered painted construction that draws on the traditions of assemblage and collage, echoing the radical approach of Kurt Schwitters. Like Schwitters’ Merz works, this piece elevates discarded and everyday materials—wood offcuts, rusted metal, fragments of rulers, and an animal skull—into a cohesive but chaotic whole. The use of found objects blurs the boundary between art and refuse, challenging traditional hierarchies of value and permanence. I am seeking parity, a place where painting, sculpture, and installation collide. The deliberate clash of textures—smooth and splintered wood, twisted wire, peeling paint—creates a tactile sense of entropy…
